Harrow, Ontario | Exterior Renovation
-
The existing front entry had reached the end of its life, creating an opportunity to rethink more than what needed replacing. The clients wanted an entrance with greater presence — something warm, distinctive and worthy of becoming the first impression of their home.
-
The original entry was deteriorating and no longer safe to use. Rather than simply patch working what was there, the challenge was to create an entry that is safe, with stronger architectural presence while ensuring the new addition felt considered within the existing exterior.
-
We reimagined the entrance as a statement piece.
Through 3D modelling and close collaboration with the client and builder, we explored the proportions, materials and architectural details before construction began. A new timber-framed entry was designed around a substantial set of wood double doors, introducing warmth, scale and a sense of arrival to the façade.
The result transforms what was once a failing element of the exterior into a defining feature of the home — an entrance designed to be noticed.
